Is my teeth and gums healthy?

Always we were told to brush our teeth since young. Ever wonder if our teeth and gums is healthy?

5 SIGNS if your teeth and gums are heatlhy

  1. Natural white teeth:

    • Naturally our teeth is composed of 2 layers, outer layer “enamel” and inner layer” dentine. These 2 layers protect the nerve “ Pulp”. In some circumstances where the nerve dies off or Root Canal Treatment was done without final restoration, a tooth appears to have a different color.

    • A person who constantly has a musty or stale taste in their mouth probably has bad breath, medically known as halitosis. Bad breath may or may not indicate a smoker, person who has issues in the digestive tract, respiratory tract or diabetic.
  3. Moist mouth and tongue:

    • Saliva is important because it keeps your mouth moist and comfortable by helping you chew, taste and swallow. Apart from that, reduced saliva may also mean you have a higher risk of tooth decay. (Read Xerostomia)
  4. Free from toothache:

    • Last but not least, pain is a way your body is trying to convey that your body is in danger. Toothache is commonly the last sign(not the first) that a problem is occurring.
